Origins – 2024 Roadmap

Dear players,

We have prepared a roadmap for the next year to provide you a simple way to prepare for the upcoming events, the next chronicle update to Gracia Epilogue and other changes. The roadmap will also include information about the server merge with Enhanced x3. It is possible that some other changes will be introduced during 2024 if they becomes necessary, but for now everything planned is listed below.

Our goal is to keep Origins server strong, with enough players online to provide a great gaming experience for everyone, while scratching this nostalgic feeling about Lineage. We aim to stay as close as possible to the original game as it was published back in the days with a minimum amount of changes to adapt the server for our region or provide solutions for major flaws that the base game could have back then.

Gracia Epilogue Update

The server will update to Gracia Epilogue on October 4th. This update will bring some changes like:

– The Seven Signs questline, where you will learn about Embryo and its nefarious plans.
– New items from Territory Wars.
– New skills and new enchant options for skills.
– The Holy Pomander systems, allowing Bishops, Elven Elders and Shilien Elder’s to learn skills from other healer’s classes.
– Two reworked, and instanced, Zaken raid.
– A new intsance zone, Delusion Chamber.
– 8 reworked hunting grounds aimed towards Dynasty Armor acquisition for solo players or small parties.

and much more. A full, detailed patchnote will be posted on Reborn website closed to the update date.

Planned Events

Please find below the list of planned events for 2024:

– 10th – 17th January Gift of Vitality week. Every morning, talk to the NPC to fully refill your vitaty !
– 7th – 21st February Bake for your valentine! Hunt monsters, craft cakes, and obtain cool items including Enchant Scrolls, unique permanent Agathion or a Revita-pop if you are lucky!
– 27th March – 10th April Bunny Money. Hunt monsters, collect Treasure Sack Pieces, and trade them to the Bunny Event Managers to get some cool Treasure Sack.
– 15th May – 29 May Eva’s Inferno. Gran Kain, the god of destruction, has released Spirits of Fire all over the land! Hunt them, and fill a server-wide progress gauge to unlock XP bonuses for the whole server, which are different every day! You will also obtain various items helping you daily, like Fruit Cocktails, Revita-pop or Eva’s Runes
– 3rd July – 17th July Squash the watermelon! Gardener Fordson’s magical watermelon seeds has been stolen and corrupted, resulting in extra Watermelons to be grown and removed to clean the world. Farm the seeds, hit the watermelon, and get rewarded by many different items!
– 28th August – 11st September The Great Mouse Hunt. Cursed crew members of Zaken are spawning everywhere in the world. Bring them peace using a Redemption Bow to get rewards which can include Buff cocktails, Scrolls, Lifes Stones, permanent accessories and some items related to vitality
– 23rd October – 5th November Halloween Events. How many letters do you need to spell 5YEARS, L2REBORN, or GRACIA. Find out during this event, with a very small chance to win a permanent epic jewel.
– 18th December – 8th January Christmas Event. Santa will visit you in every town to help you build your Christmas tree for this year. He will need all the help, after Santa’s helpers played a trick on him and hide its Santa Vitality Herb everywhere on Aden on monsters!

From 2024 and onwards, we also plan to publish on every event’s page the exact chance to get specific items when the reward is random.

Known issues and planned changes

We are aware of the following issues affecting many players, and we will deploy a fix for them as soon as possible:

– Some characters are displayed dead, while they are alive and using skills / doing damage
– Some characters are unable to learn their first Emergent Skill at level 65 without manually resetting all their certification skills
– Territory Flag display on the map, during Territory Wars, is not working properly. Only few players can see it, randomly

In 2024, we aim to implement the following gameplay changes, which are customs compared to the “retail” way original game did things:

– Territory wars flag will be movable out of siege zone, but it won’t be possible to bring them in water, or in city.
– Olympiad Arena count will be greatly increased (at least to 40, possibly more).
– The “”Bot Report Button”” will be reworked to allow for easy report of possible dualboxers, sending informations directly to Game Master’s.
– All newly distributed Vitality pop will have an exiry time of 30days.
– Alliance with Varka Silenos and Ketra orc quests for level 4 and 5 won’t require the player to kill the raid bosses anymore.

We also plan to add the following changes to the client:

– An export system, allowing you to export to text files your inventory content, your warehouse content, your Command Channel composition, or your clan members, will be added.
– Drop / Spoil patch will be visually improved, and Soul Crystal leveling info will be displayed ingame.
– NPC and Item search information window will be added to the game.
– Blessing of Nobless / Salvation / Soul of the Phoenix buff status will be displayed on the party window if the user decides to.
– Enchant colors will be reverted to “”regular”” enchant glows, very close if not identical to those in Gracia Final / Epilogue.
– Command Channel window will include a Kill / Death counter.
– Item enchant and item count will be displayed in items icons in the inventory.
– Several optimization settings will be added in a custom setting window (cache size, cache cleanup and others…).
– Modern window frames will be added to game windows (similar to the one we had during Hellbound to Gracia 2).
– An ingame web browser will be added to be able to navitage through different web pages while playing (streaming, game knowledge base…).

Those changes will require active development on our end, and as such they don’t have any specific release date yet.

Enhanced Server

Reborn Enhanced will be a Gracia Final server, which will start the 23rd February and run for six months, before being merged with our current Reborn Origins (x1) server the 21st August 2024.

This server will run the exact same L2OFF PTS files than our Origins server. Server rates will be Exp / SP x3, Drop / Spoil x2, everything else x1. Few changes will be made to allow players to enjoy some part of the game better:

– Hellbound will be set to maximum level at server’s opening.
– Alliance with Varka Silenos and Ketra orc quests for level 4 and 5 won’t require the player to kill the raid bosses anymore.

Server Merge

Enhanced and Origins servers will merge the 21st August 2024. Every item, pet, and characters will be kept during the merge. Some changes will take place during the merge:

– Castles will be reset to NPC owners. First siege after the merge will be the 25th August 2024.
– Heroes will be reset, and olympiad disabled until the 1st September. First heroes will happen the 1st October 2024.
– All existing “Instanced Clan Halls” on Origins will be deleted.
– Additional Clan Halls will be added in Oren, Heine, Gludin, Hunter’s Village and Floran’s Village.
– All Clan Halls, regardless of their location, will provide top level buffs (identic to A-Grade clan halls).
– All Clan Hall ownership will get reset, and a random distribution will be done manually by Reborn Team to distribute the clan halls to clan applying for one (more information below).

Clan Hall Reset

Reborn servers will merge from two to one, so fewer Clan Halls will be available to players. In order to avoid a click race for scalpers to buy and resell the Clan Halls, the Reborn team has decided on using a Clan Hall distribution that more fairly allocates the Clan Halls to eligible participants.

This distribution is a structured giveaway. The process works like this:

– The clan and clan leader (or representative) meet the eligibility requirements.
– The clan leader (or representative) sends in the clan’s entry. The clan makes sure that the required amount of adena is in the Clan Warehouse, which will be removed when the entry is accepted
– The Reborn team will impartially reviews the status of all clans that enter the giveaway, applying the same evaluation formula to all participating clans.
– The winning clans are randomly selected.
– Clan Halls are awarded to the winners.
– Partial entry fees are reimbursed to nonwinners.

The requirements to apply for Clan Hall distribution and all details about the process will be published as we get closer to the date, for now you can read this summarised information to start preparing for it:

– Depending on the CH grade clans will need to have between 2 billions and 5 billions adena.
– Depending on the grade clans must be level 5 to 8.
– Applying clans must have at least 25 active members.

With this system, we aim to give every active clan a legit chance at getting a clan hall, and avoid players holding CHs as a trade item
